”Master Fisto!! Master Fisto!!”
A heavy knocking at the door woke him up. Through the darkness in his cabin he could sense the Clone Commander’s presence outside the door.
Kit Fisto opened his amphibious, black eyes. His back was aching, and his head felt like… Yes, well, he had a terrible headache. What caused this, he couldn’t remember exactly. But he was NOT in the mood for getting out of bed.
But he knew that the Clone Commander outside wouldn’t stop knocking, until he got some sort of an answer. He tumbled out of his bed, trying to turn on some kind of light and hit his knee hard toward his desk. Cursing, he found the light, put his clothes on and limped to the door. He hit the switch to open the door, and at the same time all lights in his cabin went out. He hit the switch to turn the light back on, but it only managed to glow a little.
Cursing again he felt his way to the emergency switch to open the door. At least it was still working, and the door opened with a slight whisper.
“Yes, Commander, what is it??”
“We’ll be arriving at our destination in a few minutes, Master.”
“Thank you.” Kit nodded. “Dismissed, soldier.”
The clone disappeared down the corridor, and Kit shut the door again.
He sighed deeply and stretched his back. He had to locate his light saber somewhere in this mess. But in the fading light he only saw his Jedi robe across the back of a chair.
Kit fell down on his bed. He hadn’t got much sleep last night. It was tempting to just fall back in a dreamless sleep. He leaned back…
And felt his heart jump to his throat, when he felt a warm hand touch his. Kit jumped to his feet and turned towards the bed. Which wasn’t empty.
Aayla Secura, the blue Twi’lek Jedi, was sleeping peacefully there, carefully covered by her own Jedi robe and one of his blankets. Her eyes were closed, and she breathed slowly and deeply. She looked very beautiful, but she was NOT supposed to lay here.
Kit starred at the sleeping Twi’lek. Only one word found it’s way out of his mouth.
“WHAT?!”
